Outfit of the Day- 21.2.13

My Outfit Today

The outfit I wore today is plain and simple and really not even that fashionable but is just a starter so I can get the hang of that sort of thing :)
Jumper- New Look £15
This is my favourite Jumper. I really like the bottle green colour and cropped sleeves :)

Jeans- Primark £9
These Jeans are part of the Primark Super Skinny range, as you can see they are 'well-worn' :P and have faded a bit but are still my favourite pair of jeans :)

Socks- Primark £3
I love the aztec-y pattern on these socks and they are thick so are great for winter wear. They also came with a pair of speckledy grey socks with pink toes :)

Bracelets- Lipsy, Unknown, Unknown
The bracelet on the left is from my friend Rebecca as a Birthday present (Thank-you!) and has beautiful pearly beads connected with black thread
The bracelet in the middle was given to my Mum and I kind of 'borrowed' it :P I like the colours on it and it reminds me of precious stones
The bracelet on the right is from Lipsy and it is a shame that, in the photo, you can't see round the other side, where the glory lies, but I am lazy and can't be bothered to take another photo :P Around the bracelet there are beautiful turquoise and silver beads and it may well be one of my favourite bracelets :)

Thank you SO much for reading my very first 'Outfit of the Day' post! Your views and comments mean SO much to me Xx

My Skincare Routine (Part 4) Simple Facial Wipes

Simple Facial Wipes
Wowee! What a lot of Simple :P (I promise more variety in the future :) )
In terms of wipes to remove make-up, almost every brand tends to do the job, whatever you pick. However, some do more than just remove make-up and promise to moisturise and hydrate your skin, which is why I love this product and always use it to remove make-up.
The wipes themselves are very light and so don't feel as though they are coating your skin in gunk that's supposed to remove make-up. They also do the job in terms of making your skin feel fresh before bed which is a lovely feeling.
Simple products on the whole are also very affordable, and for 25 wipes the price is £3.25 which is on the cheap side.
I recommend this product for the light fluffiness of the wipes and the fact that they leave your skin with a REALLY nice feeling before you hit the hay Xx

My Skincare Routine (Part 3) Simple Smoothing Facial Scrub

Simple Smoothing Facial Scrub
This is another product by Simple which I use and I rub it into my face during a morning wash once or twice a week as instructed on the tube. This scrub does really smooth your skin and makes it feel really soft however I am not really one for scrubs and I’m really not a fan. I just don’t like the feeling of the harder bits on your face, it’s like rubbing gravel into it and I generally find the whole experience quite uncomfortable and would like to become more accustomed to it. However, if you do like scrubs I would highly recommend this for you to try as it works wonders smoothing your skin and makes it feel very hydrated which gets your day off to an excellent start! It is only £3.99 for 75ml from Boots and smells good too, so if you like scrubs, you’ll love this product! Xx
(Wow, I sound like I’m on an advert or something :P )

My Skincare Routine (Part 2) Simple Protecting Moisturiser

Simple Protecting Moisturiser

I have used Simple products quite a lot since I started wearing make-up as they do make your skin feel really clean and clear and generally are very soft and gentle to sensitive skin types. This moisturising cream is the one I use daily and that hasn’t really changed as this one generally does the job. You don’t need very much per usage (don't like the word 'usage'- always looks wrong!) so the £4.99 50ml tube from Boots lasts a long time. I really like using this moisturising cream and it doesn’t make my face feel unhealthy or grotty and instead makes skin feel really hydrated and moisturised!
I would recommend this especially for dry skin as it clears that up that really quickly Xx
Added thought: Not many people seem to talk about Simple as I think it kind of goes a bit unnoticed in the beauty world which is a shame as it is a really great brand J

My Skincare Routine (Part 1) Johnson's Baby Lotion

Johnson’s Baby Lotion
Yes, this is a baby lotion and no, I am not a babyJ. This lotion is made by Johnson’s, (who I have also tried good facial cleansing wipes from,) and, after seeing loads of rave reviews from people who have used this on their face and body, I decided to try it myself. I decided to use this as a sort of ‘washing moisturiser’, (Haha I think I am just making up things now :P ) by which I mean I washed my face with a flannel, then rubbed the baby lotion in, then washed thoroughly with a flannel again.
This product has been really working for me over the past few days and I am really pleased with it. It provides skin with a lovely fresh, clean smell and makes my skin feel a lot more moisturised and nourished throughout the day. It is also really cheap and costs £2.40 (300ml) or £2.80 (500ml) from Boots which is a great deal.
I would highly recommend this as a body moisturiser or face wash for anyone with quite dry or unhealthy feeling skin. I would also recommend it as a cost-effective product and great value for money Xx
