New Face Routine Pt.1

So, I was in Chester the other week and picked up some new stuff which I have now added to my facial routine! I've had the products for about 2 weeks now, and I'm confident enough to give you a review of those, as well as some I've already mentioned so here we goooo!!!

1. Johnson's baby lotion

I have already reviewed this product as part of my old skincare routine, yet my opinion remains the same; I do know I am not a baby, yet this lotion is really great as a pure face wash. It doesn't contain anything unnatural and leaves skin SUPER soft!
Rating: :) :) :) :)

2. Lush Grease Lightning Spot Treatment

Tragically, I don't have a LUSH near me, so I was soooo happy to be able to go to the Chester one and pick up a few bits. If you didn't know this already, LUSH is AMAZING! The staff are sooo helpful and friendly and the products are just perfect! But back to this product, I have really been enjoying using it. It definitely decreases the appearance of spots and blemishes. One thing I found not so good is the ease of actually getting it out of the bottle. For me, too much comes out too fast and I always end up putting bits back in. Otherwise, practically perfect
Rating: :) :) :) :)
3. Simple Facial Wash Gel
This gel I picked up in Primark for a bargain of £1 and I have loved it so far! It lathers really well on your face and feels very natural and clean. I would definitely buy this again and larger next time, because Simple washes always end up running out all too soon on me!
Rating: :) :) :) :) :

4. Body Shop Blackhead Exfoliating scrub
It's really annoying me that the picture won't sit under the title on this one, but here it is! I just bought this to exfoliate and not specifically because of the 'blackhead' part however I have still really loved this product as a scrub and the tea tree has really helped my skin!
Rating: :) :) :) :

So there you go, that is Part 1 of my Face-care routine and Part 2 should come in the next few days, so be sure to follow to find out! ;)
I think it's always an important thing to do to change your Face-care routine every so often and it's always fun buying and trying new products. I hope you enjoyed reading this and found it helpful, suggestions are always welcome in the comments and I hope you're all having a great day!

Rimmel review (Pt.2)- Face and Lips

So, this is Part 2 of my Rimmel review, which will be including 6 lip and face products
Here we goooo! :)

Wake Me Up Foundation
By far my favourite foundation, this product really helps to 'Wake me up.' After use, my skin looks radiant, even and bright. A little goes a long way with this and so the bottle will last a good long time. I think Wake me up foundation is AMAZING!
Pros- Radiance
       - Packaging
       - Confidence in a bottle
       - Even finish
Cons- NONE!
Rating: :) :) :) :) :)
Price: £8.99 (well worth it though)

Wake Me Up Concealer
Carrying on on the Wake me up line, I also have the brand's concealer. Unfortunately though, I can't provide a thorough review as instead of being in the shade 'Ivory' which my foundation is in, it's a shade darker in 'Soft Beige,' so doesn't fit. However, when I did try it , it was very good quality and I look forward to wearing it in Summer when, (hopefully,) I will have a tan :P
Pros- Good concealer
Cons- Mine is a shade darker than I wanted
Rating: I feel bad giving one as I haven't tried it out properly so I won't rate it
Price: £5.49 (Boots)
Apocalips Lip Lacquer
There has been SO much hype about Apocalips recently so the other day in Boots I thought 'I just have to try this'
So far, I have had no regrets at all for jumping on this bandwagon. This lipgloss gives great, long lasting colour and makes lips look a lot fuller. Also, the colour choice is great, (mine is Celestial,) and goes from bright cherry to nude.
Pros- Moisture
       - Makes lips look fuller
       - Colour range
Cons- Application can be trickier than other
lipglosses, but this is just me being picky
Rating: :) :) :) :) (so far)
Price: £5.99 (Boots)
Stay Matte Pressed Powder
There are lots of people raving about this pressed powder and I'm afraid I might be the only one who thinks it doesn't deserve as much as it gets.
Personally, I do really like this product but I wouldn't say it is 'amazing' or 'does your skin wonders.' Yes it keeps your make-up in place for a good while, but I can't see the visual difference in 'minimizing pores' or 'controlling shine' that it claims to do.
Pros- Keeps make-up on for a while
-Feels light and natural
Cons- Personally, I don't think its as great as people make out
Rating: :) :) :) (and a half)
Price: £3.99<Bargainalert
Kate Moss Matte Lipstick
Again, another product that has been hugely hyped about and I have to say, I love it too. The pigmentation is absolutely perfect and it is extremely nourishing for the lips. It comes in very bright shades, something which I'm not so comfortable in so I haven't worn this product a lot, despite desperately wanting to.
Pros- Pigmentation
       - Moisture
       - Long lasting
       - Easy to apply
Cons- Almost too beautiful to be true
Rating: :) :) :) :) (because I don't wear it a lot)
Price: £5.49 (Boots)<BARGAINALERT
Lasting Finish 25hr Foundation
This is a recent buy for me, as I discovered that I was only really using my Wake Me Up foundation and needed to switch up my routine, so I went and bought this!
I love the packaging of almost every Rimmel product, this one particularly. The foundation has great staying power, although you need a little bit more than the wake me up to make it noticeable on your skin. Overall though, this is an above average foundation and I think it would work for anyone.
Pros- Lasts a long time
- Good coverage
- Nice packaging
-Hydrating
Cons-Needs a bit for it to be noticeable
Rating: :) :) :) :)
Price: £6.99 (Boots)

So, we have come to an end of our Rimmel journey. Overall, Rimmel are my favourite brand and have brought out some FABULOUS products in the last year or two. I hope I have given you some insight as to some of the best buys from Rimmel and suggestions are always welcome in the comments!
Looking forward to writing soon,
Lucy xx

Rimmel Review (Pt.1)- Eyes

Only recently did I notice that the majority of my products are Rimmel, and I now feel I have gained a wide'ish' experience of the brand and their mostly good, although occasionally bad, products. In this post and the next I will be reviewing 12 products and I hope this gives you insight to what an AMAZING brand Rimmel is because, believe me, I know how it feels to walk up to the Rimmel section of Boots and have NO CLUE WHATSOEVER which products are even worth the price tag :)
Oh look, now I've gone and written a really long introduction. Silly me. Oh well, lets get cracking!

Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal (Eyeliner)

This has to be my favourite eyeliner by far. It is a bit hard to see in the picture, (sorry,) but the actual pen part is very thick and so provides a really defined line. It is also super pigmented and super easy to put on, which is always a bonus for someone like me :P
Pros- Pigmentation
       - Good Price
       - Easy to use
Cons- Has to be sharpened frequently and can be          tricky to do so
Overall, I think this is a BRILLIANT product and deserves 4 and a half smilies :) :) :) :) :
Price- £3.99 (Boots)

Scandaleyes Mascara
Also in the scandaleyes range is this superb mascara which, although recently bought, I have been LOVING!!! Lashes look really volumised and pumped up so this is a great buy!
Pros- Volume
- Don't look fake
- Brings confidence
Cons- I honestly cannot think of any
Rating: :) :) :) :) :
Price: £6.99 (Boots)
Glam'eyes Professional Liquid Liner
To be honest, there's not much I can say about this product as I'm really not a fan of liquid liners, they're fiddly, easy to mess up, and if they poke you in the eye it HUUURTS!!!
While I did use this product, I guess it was okay. It is my only liquid liner and maybe I will return to their eye-poking abode one day but for now, I think I'm fine
Pros- It was good for a liquid liner
       - Stayed on all day
Cons- Bendy wand
        - Made me cry
        - Tricky
       - I think I'd better stop, this could go on for a while
Rating: :) (Simply because it is a liquid liner)
Price: £5.29 (Boots)
Glam'eyes Quad Eyeshadow
I have only just got into eyeshadows really, as before I found them quite tedious and not something to be bothered with. This is one of my favourite eyeshadow thingys, which I received at Christmas. It comes with a helpful applicator and is PERFECT for a basic smokey eye.
Pros- Pigmentation
- Good colour (on this one)
Cons- Colours of the other quads don't look as good
-Doesn't last very long through the day
- Not enough for £6.99
Rating: :) :)
Price: £6.99 (Boots)
Eyeliner Pencils (Special Eyes and Soft Kohl)
Because of using my scandaleyes liner so much recently, I have kind of rejected these 2 liners.
The black magic special eyes liner is one which I used to use all the time but got annoyed with the constant sharpening demand. The denim blue soft Kohl liner I got for Christmas and have only used once since, maybe because it's blue and I tend to go more for black
Pros- Both good for pencil liners
       - Precision
Cons- Hard to put on
Rating: :) :)
Price: Special Eyes: Not sold anymore
          Soft Kohl: £2.99

Extra Super Lash Mascara
Last, but in no means least is one of my other favourtie mascaras and also one of which I think is quite underrated. The thing that I like about this mascara is the fact that  it gives a very natural, subtle look, (meaning I can wear it to school and not be noticed.)  It also, with more coats, gives great volume and builds lashes up very well indeed.
Pros- Flexibility
-Nice wand
-Volume
Cons- Might take a few coats to be as voluminous as you want it
Rating: :) :) :) :)
Price (with new packaging): £4.99 (Boots)

Thanks for reading! Please follow and comment suggestions for more! :)
